Original Grooves: Martien Oster, the accomplished and multitalented Dutch guitar player, who studied in the US and played a.o. with Chet Baker, Toots Thielemans, Monty Alexander and toured with Diana Krall; on alto-saxophone young lion Miguel Martinez, a regular member of the New Cool Collective and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw; and finally: Gijs Dijkhuizen, one of Europe’s finest drummers, who played f.i. with Ferdinand Povel, Frits Landesbergen and Peter Beets, completes this hot group.
In this clear revival of soulful jazz groups we present to you this classic line up. It’s the Original Grooves touring Europe in fall 2008.
