Jazz Connection
Jazz Connection is running like a train through Europe, now ready for its sixteenth year. Founded in Breda the band performed thundering Jazz & Jive shows in The Netherlands, Europe, Middle-East and Far East. From the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, theatres, jazz clubs, festivals to a concert at the Victoria Concert Hallo at Singapore. While playing as true followers of the Jump and Jive style that hit the black US population some 50 years ago, Jazz Connection now represent an interesting melting pot. There is the Rhythm 'n Blues of the forties, the mambo of the fifties, hard bop ingredients of the sixties and even some crossover to funk, boogaloo and mainstream jazz to be tasted. Together they produce their remarkable sound: transparent, sophisticated, catchy and groovy.
Jazz Connection performed with the American singer Marjorie Barnes and as support act of Chris Barber Jazz Band and Max Collie & Rhythm Aces (2004). Band members performed with musicians like Scott Hamilton, Warren Vaché, Joep Peeters and Steve Yocum.
